Loyalties are betrayed, guilt and innocence tangle, and fate and chance collide in this shocking conclusion to Mara Dyer’s story. Retribution has arrived." -Synopsis from Goodreads
I did mini reviews on the first two books which can be found in my january wrap up*
*POSSIBLE SPOILERS ABOUT THE FIRST 2 BOOKS SINCE THIS IS THE THIRD BOOK, BUT I WON'T SPOIL THIS BOOK***
As some of you may know, The Mara Dyer trilogy is one of my favourite trilogies of all time. It's mysterious, confusing (in a good way), full of twists and the characters are awesome. Noah Shaw is one of my top book crushes because he's so sassy and Mara is also pretty awesome. This was one of my most anticipated releases of the year and I was so pumped when it finally came out. I started reading it right away, even though I was in the middle of another book.
Now onto the actual review: THIS BOOK WAS INSANE, OK. It was even more twisted and dark than the first two and there were so many twists and there was a lot of Jamie and kick ass Mara. Michelle Hodkin has outdone herself with the creepiness in this book. so creepy, but I love it. Thats what this series is all about. IT MESSES WITH YOUR HEAD YO! The one thing I really want to talk about, I can't really say because this is spoiler free and its really hard to review a third book without spoilers, but all I will say is LAKSJHDAKSDN,G,DNRLKRE.
Now I'm not gonna lie and say this book was perfect, there were a lot of loose ends and I wasn't super satisfied with the ending but nevertheless, I'm giving it a 5 stars because I truly think it was a great book, but I also wish it would have concluded better.
