Smart, charming,beautiful, Étienne has it all...including a serious girlfriend. But in the City of Light, wishes have a way of coming true. Anna and the French Kiss is a cute, fluffy contemporary that is a great mood lifter. I read this book in one day and it was absolutely perfect, I have no complaints whatsoever. I enjoyed every moment and I wish it was longer so I could read more about Étienne!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is the ultimate book boyfriend: cute, smart, foreign, oh and did i mention, REALLY DANG CUTE???
This book gave me all of the feels. First of all, Étienne is 2nd on my list of top book boyfriends (Noah Shaw coming in at number 1, of course) and I wish he was real so that he could date me..pls. I really like Anna as well, she seems like someone I would want to be friends with. I really don't know how to put my feelings about this book into words... it was just so cute and it was a great book to read during a read-a-thon because it was quick and easy to read. Once I finished this book, I actually searched about the school that they were attending and I asked my mom if I could go because then I could find my own Étienne.

QUOTES:

“Most people in Atlanta don't have an accent. It's pretty urban. A lot of people speak gangsta, though," I add jokingly.
"Fo' shiz," he replies in his polite English accent.

I spurt orangey-red soup across the table. St. Clair gives a surprised ha-HA kind of laugh, and I'm laughing too, the painful kind like abdominal crunches. He hands me a napkin to wipe my chin. "Fo'. Shiz." He repeats it solemnly.

Cough cough. "Please don't ever stop saying that. It's too-" I gasp. "Much."
"You oughtn't to have said that. Now I shall have to save it for special occasions."
"My birthday is in February." Cough choke wheeze. "Please don't forget.”

//
“This warmth over the telephone. Is it possible for home to be a person and not a place? Bridgette used to be home to me. Maybe St. Clair is my new home.
I mull this over as our voices grow tired and we stop talking. We just keep each other company. My breath. His breath. My breath. His breath. I could never tell him, but it's true.

This is home. The two of us.”
